Veteran Housing

Coming Soon to The CDHRCNJ

Mission

To increase affordable homeownership opportunities for Veterans by developing and constructing high-quality, energy-efficient single-family homes for veterans while strengthening neighborhoods and promoting long-term economic stability.

Vision

To create sustainable individual homes for veterans within existing communities where they have access to safe, affordable housing

Purpose

The nonprofit will acquire land, develop residential lots, construct affordable single-family homes, and sell them to income-qualified veterans at below-market prices. The organization will leverage grants, philanthropic investments, government funding, and strategic partnerships to reduce development costs while maintaining financial sustainability.

Other Programs

Affordable Housing

We acquire, rehabilitate, and develop safe, quality affordable housing so working families, seniors, and individuals can find a stable place to call home. Our developments blend into existing neighborhoods and are built to last.

Homelessness Prevention Program

The Homelessness Prevention Program provides emergency support and stabilization services to households at risk of losing their housing, helping them stay in their homes and avoid the trauma of homelessness.

The Individual Development Account (IDA) Program

The Individual Development Account (IDA) Program helps participants build savings toward a major asset — a first home, education, or small business — by matching every dollar they save with additional funds, paired with financial education.

Community Donation & Resale Program

Our community donation of resale programs collects gently used furniture household goods clothing and a multitude of other items. These items are then distributed directly to people in need through our website by means of a voucher program or through giveaway events. Any non-essential statement furnishing for items are then sold to our partners or through our website. These funds help to maintain our donation and other programs.

Sober Living Residence

Our Sober Living Residence provides a stable, substance-free home environment where individuals in recovery can rebuild their lives with structure, accountability, and community support.

Refugee Support Services

Refugee Support Services help newly arrived refugee families settle into their communities with dignity — connecting them to housing, essential goods, and the resources they need to build a new life in New Jersey.

Veteran Housing
