Sober Living Residence

Coming Soon to The CDHRCNJ

Mission Statement:
To provide a safe, structured, and supportive living environment that promotes long-term recovery, personal responsibility, employment readiness, and successful reintegration into the community for individuals recovering from substance use disorders.

The Sober Living Residence will offer alcohol- and drug-free housing for adults committed to maintaining sobriety. Residents will participate in house accountability standards, recovery support meetings, employment or educational activities, and life-skills development programs. The residence will operate as a financially sustainable organization while maintaining a strong commitment to resident success and community safety.

Purpose

The residence will serve individuals transitioning from:

·         Inpatient treatment programs

·         Detoxification facilities

·         Intensive outpatient programs (IOP)

·         Correctional reentry programs

·         Homelessness or unstable housing situations

The goal is to reduce relapse rates by providing stable housing and accountability during the critical early stages of recovery.

Other Programs

Affordable Housing

We acquire, rehabilitate, and develop safe, quality affordable housing so working families, seniors, and individuals can find a stable place to call home. Our developments blend into existing neighborhoods and are built to last.

Homelessness Prevention Program

The Homelessness Prevention Program provides emergency support and stabilization services to households at risk of losing their housing, helping them stay in their homes and avoid the trauma of homelessness.

The Individual Development Account (IDA) Program

The Individual Development Account (IDA) Program helps participants build savings toward a major asset — a first home, education, or small business — by matching every dollar they save with additional funds, paired with financial education.

Community Donation & Resale Program

Our community donation of resale programs collects gently used furniture household goods clothing and a multitude of other items. These items are then distributed directly to people in need through our website by means of a voucher program or through giveaway events. Any non-essential statement furnishing for items are then sold to our partners or through our website. These funds help to maintain our donation and other programs.
